Did you know that BHN volunteers make up 35% of the total workforce?
In 2022 alone, our volunteers contributed over 10,000 hours to our clients and community. Now that’s a powerful group of change makers.
Last week, BHN volunteers were celebrated and thanked during National Volunteer Week at our first ever BHN volunteer event.
More than 100 volunteers and supporting staff came together to enjoy a lunch at the Royal Brighton Yacht Club. It was wonderful to see volunteers from across the three campuses share a meal, have a laugh and get to know one another.
Phillipa Challis, founder of Live Life Laughing was the Master of Ceremonies and Boon Wurrung man Steve Parker from Millowl Dreaming delivered a Welcome to Country.
Damian Ferrie, CEO and Janice Munt, BHN Chairperson, addressed the audience and personally thanked BHN volunteers for all of their efforts.
