Food systems
Our health promotion team partners with local organisations and community members to improve the local food environment and facilitate accessible, affordable, sustainable, convenient, and nourishing food for everyone. We take a community-centred approach, where we ensure that community members have an equal say and contribute to decisions regarding the local food system. The project objectives are:
- Map the food environment in our local area
- Uncover local strengths, challenges, and areas of opportunity
- Apply our learnings to health promotion practice
