Announcement of new BHN CEO

Message from the BHN Board Chair:

On behalf of the BHN Board, I’m so pleased to announce the appointment of Andrea McLeod as the new CEO of Better Health Network (BHN), following a competitive recruitment process.

Andrea brings a wealth of experience, having recently served as CEO at Windana, where she led a merger, spearheaded a new Strategic Plan, and drove key improvements to enhance the client experience. Her leadership background spans executive roles in Australia and New Zealand across public health, aged care, disability, rehabilitation, and community health services.

With over 25 years of executive experience and qualifications in health management, Andrea is perfectly positioned to guide BHN into its next chapter and ensure we deliver the very best in health, wellbeing and disability services for our clients and communities.

Upon accepting the role, Andrea shared her excitement:

“I’m thrilled to be joining BHN at such a pivotal time. I’ve always had a strong connection to community health, and to come to BHN following the recent amalgamation is incredibly exciting. I look forward to working with the team and the Board on the exciting opportunities ahead.”

A heartfelt thank you to Amanda Murphy for her dedicated leadership not just over the past six months as interim CEO, but over many years as a committed and impactful health Executive who played a pivotal role in the creation of BHN and continues to lead as a member of our Senior Executive team.

On behalf of the Board, we look forward to welcoming Andrea to the team when she commences in early December!

Kirstan Corben
