Damian has been an accomplished and respected leader in government and non-government sectors especially in the areas of health and housing. As the CEO of Star Health for over a decade, he led its transformation to become a highly regarded and successful organisation.
As an Executive Director within the Victorian Government, he has initiated numerous state-wide interventions to build community capacity through partnerships with the community, business, and the philanthropic sectors. Damian’s career has been driven by social justice, fairness and equity.
Damian’s leadership and governance expertise is sought after and he has supported the numerous boards including as the current Chair of VCOSS and Mental Health Victoria.
Damian has studied leadership at the University of Cambridge, holds a Masters of Applied Science – Social Ecology (Organisational Development), a Post Graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor of Theology.
