Our Parkdale location offers the following services:

The aim of the service is to prevent further health complications by improving better access to health care and assisting behaviour change to improve lifestyle choices and health status. This is accomplished by working in an integrated multidisciplinary health care team with a focus on providing coordinated person centred care and using best practice models of self-management approaches.

We offer quality, low-cost dental care, including check-ups, emergency care, fillings, x-rays and dentures.  The service is free for children 0-12 years with Health Care, Pension Card or Medicare Child Dental Benefit schedule or there is a small fee if none applies.  Youth 13-17 are free with Health Care, Pension Card or Medical Child Dental Benefit Schedule and Adults require a Health Care or Pension Card to access the service. Our health promotion services create opportunities for communities and populations to understand what influences their health and wellbeing, and the actions we can take together to create healthy equitable and thriving local communities.   Our team works across Bayside, Glen Eira, Stonnington, Port Phillip and Kingston City councils.  By supporting community, local government, schools, early childhood services, public housing and other organisations, we can help create change by building on existing strengths and developing the capacity and skills of our community.

My Aged Care is a Commonwealth Government initiative that aims to make it easier for older people, their families and carers to access information on aged care, have their needs assessed and find the services they need. More Info

We support people with a range of abilities, from independent to high and complex support needs. Our disability day programs are designed to enhance independence, health and happiness so our clients can live a fulfilled life.

Each child’s development is different, and in some cases can be slowed or look different in one or more areas.  BHN’s child development specialists are here to help you understand your child’s current level of development and discover strategies to support their ongoing progress.  Services include occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology and physiotherapy.

GLA:D®, or Good Life with Arthritis: Denmark, is an education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis symptoms. More Info

Hand Therapy is a specialised area of Occupational Therapy that combines knowledge of the structure of the upper limb with function and activity. More Info

Our physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through exercise, physical therapy and education.  From improving strength and flexibility to treating injures or chronic pain, we work with people of all ages.  Group activities run by our physiotherapist are also available, including Pilates, better balance, strength training and more. Better Health Network podiatrists assess, diagnose and treat problems relating to the feet and lower legs to help keep people mobile and pain free.  These may include skin and nail problems, foot and ankle injuries, foot complications related to diabetes and problems with gait or walking. Footwear assessments and prescriptions. More Info

Injury treatment and rehabilitation can be supported by exercising in a heated pool.  Warm water supports the body, improves stability, stimulates circulation, reduces pain and provides strength training resistance.  Hydrotherapy can also provide psychological benefits through relaxation caused by warmth and weightlessness and increased self-confidence, that boost health and wellbeing. The aim of the  Alcohol and Other Drugs Program (AOD) is to provide a range of treatment and counselling services to adults affected by drug or alcohol related issues, and their loved ones.

Tai Chi is a form of martial art using relaxed, gentle movement. It can be an effective healing tool for a range of disorders including anxiety, arthritis, diabetes, fatigue and heart disease. Evidence shows that Tai Chi can also help prevent falls by improving mobility, strength, flexibility, posture and balance. More Info
